Language and Literacy

The development of language and literacy is a focus throughout the school day. All children are individually assessed in relation to their levels of language and literacy skills. Emphasis is given to the early stages in language, reading and writing, for example understanding that printed words or symbols convey meaning. TreeHouse also uses a phonics based approach.
