Lombard 2007
The Lombard Rally, the UK’s largest motor rally for enthusiasts, announced in that TreeHouse is its nominated charity for the 2007 event.
Organised by The Endurance Rally Association, The Lombard Rally is a competition for the true rally enthusiast. The 2007 race lasted 4 days, taking in mountains and moorland, hill climbs, forests and circuits across England and Wales.
Individual teams from all over Europe competed in the Rally, which started on November 8th at the National Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Many of the teams were also “rallying for children with autism”, by raising funds for TreeHouse through sponsorship.
Funds raised through the 2007 Lombard Rally supported TreeHouse’s new National Centre for Autism Education in North London, enabling TreeHouse to build vital facilities for teaching road safety to children with autism. Find out more about the Ambitious about Autism appeal.
Lombard helps thousands of businesses to reach their goals and TreeHouse were delighted that they gave us a helping hand at such a crucial point in our history. As a pioneering organisation with big ambitions for children with autism, TreeHouse embodies the values that are at the heart of the Lombard business.
Neil Edwards, Director of Strategic Marketing at Lombard said:
“At Lombard we are delighted to welcome TreeHouse as a partner. We believe that participation in the rally is a great experience for the competitors and we trust that this year their experience will be matched by providing benefits for TreeHouse and the families they support. ”
