Jigsaw in Staffordshire

The Jigsaw Group in Staffordshire is a support network for people with Asperger’s Syndrome or high functioning autism and their families. Jigsaw provides parent and carer support group meetings, newsletters, children’s clubs and activities for the whole family during school holidays.
The Jigsaw campaign aims to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) within the community, as the first step in increased “understanding” of ASD and how it affects people and their families.
Working constructively with Children and Lifelong Learning section of Staffordshire council, and other statutory and voluntary agencies, Jigsaw aims to help and support all school staff to better understand the needs of children, young people and their families. It aims to dispel the myths and mis-perceptions surrounding ASD by providing information and training for schools and other organisiations in Staffordshire.
