Brighton & Hove Marvel After Media Workshop

Parent carers from Brighton & Hove made their debut in the spotlight at the Parent Participation Project Media workshop in London on 18 of February 2010.

Parents were given the tools needed to communicate effectively with the media, to publicise their own stories of participation and reach a wider audience in the process.

One parent who took part in the workshop had only good things to say:

"Today has been a real eye opener and a definite confidence boost when it comes to working with the media".

The workshop helped parents to recognise the positive potential of their own participation and to encourage involvement of more parent carers through the media.
