Influencing Explained Telford Workshop a Success!
The Parent Participation Project held the first Influencing Explained Workshop in Telford on the 20th of November which was a great success! The workshop was a chance for parents and carers to meet other parents and carers in their local area and share ideas and experiences. A lot of issues regarding influencing were raised and useful techniques were shared.
Parents and carers were;
- Given the opportunity to reflect on how they have already been influencing people in their local area
- Shown how to translate techniques of influencing used nationally into local influencing and
- Shown how a local influence can make a big impact nationally
Some quotes from those who attended:
"Session was relaxed and friendly" .
"It was informative on different levels on how to try and focus on a main issue"
If you have any ideas or suggestions for workshops to run in the future, please contact Olivia Danso at odanso@treehouse.org.uk or telephone 0208 815 5162.
