St James 10k run for TreeHouse

On Saturday 13 June members of St James Church in Muswell Hill took part in a sponsored 10k run for TreeHouse. 

Although St James Church has been an incredible supporter of our work in the past, this was the first time that they had put on an event of this nature.  Nevertheless, 32 members of the congregation took part, with many more marshalling and offering their support on the day. 

There were a wide variety of abilities involved, with fun, health and community spirit being the central focuses of the day.  Despite the relaxed atmosphere, many people completed the course quickly, with the fastest entrant coming in at just under 40 minutes!

The event has so far raised over £2,000 including Gift Aid and was such a success that St James Church is keen to make this an annual event.

TreeHouse would like to thank all at St James Church who took part in the run and supported the participants on the day.  We would also like to offer a very special thanks to Adrian, Joel and Clive for organising such a brilliant local event.
