TreeHouse founder awarded OBE in the Queen’s Birthday List

Katharine Doré, TreeHouse parent, co-founder and former trustee, has been appointed an OBE in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Katharine, a highly successful theatre producer, has dedicated much of her time over the last decade to campaigning and lobbying for more funding and better education for children with autism, such as her son who is 15.
Katharine has won numerous international theatre and media awards for many successful productions, most notably the iconic Swan Lake with a corps de ballet of male swans. Awards included three Tony Awards on Broadway and two Olivier and two Evening Standard Awards for productions in the West End of London.
Katharine commented: “As one of three founding trustees of TreeHouse I could not accept this honor without recognising the immense contribution of my cohorts Karen Edwards and Sid Wells.
“Whilst Sid continues as a TreeHouse trustee and school governor, Karen and I are working to realise the second part of our original vision through a new charity called CareTrade.”
