Why Ambitious about Autism?

TreeHouse is Ambitious about Autism because

  • The need is huge. Tens of thousands of children with autism have no appropriate school place. Only a small minority of teachers have any autism training. Official Government statistics reveal that over a quarter of all children with autism have been excluded from school.
  • Children with autism have enormous potential. It is universally agreed that the right education is the key to unlocking this potential.
  • We have shown we can make a difference. The children at TreeHouse school are making huge progress in every area of their lives and we have influenced the autism agenda through leading by example.
  • We want to make an even greater difference. All children with autism deserve the chance to have a decent education. Our National Centre for Autism Education will deliver this ambition.

The Ambitious about Autism appeal branding was developed for TreeHouse free-of-charge by top advertising agency Clemmow Hornby Inge.
