Ambition Ball
May 8 2008 at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium
TreeHouse’s partnership with local football club Arsenal has seen a huge increase in awareness of autism and has already raised a staggering £190,000 including a day’s wages donated by players and directors. The commitment from both the Club and supporters has been amazing.
The Ambition Ball was a celebration of this partnership and guests competed in two teams, red and white, as they raised funds for both TreeHouse and the Arsenal Charitable Trust. Funds raised for TreeHouse went towards the Ambitious about Autism appeal. Prior to the ball Arsenal already committed £250,000 to the appeal, which is helping to fund the National Centre for Autism Education.
The “Ambition Ball” took place on May 8 2008 at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. In the heart of Islington, Emirates is amongst the most impressive venues in London. Top event company Urban Caprice transformed the spaces within the stadium, working with dramatic pitch views and the sweeping curves of the stadium.
Arsenal Manager Arsène Wenger and author and TreeHouse patron Nick Hornby, together with Directors of Arsenal and the full first team squad welcomed 450 guests including celebrities Tony Hadley and DJ Judge Jules, who played a set on the night. Guests were treated to an exquisite champagne reception, with VIP guests being hosted in the exclusive Diamond Club suite, before sitting down to a sumptuous dinner and an evening of surprise celebrity performances.
