Eastern Empire Restaurant
We are delighted to announce a new partnership between the Eastern Empire Indian Restaurant, Balham, and TreeHouse. Eastern Empire owner, Aminur Rahman, has generously agreed to donate 50p from every take away or restaurant order to TreeHouse. Aminur recently visited TreeHouse and was so impressed and touched by the work he saw that he decided he wanted to make a difference through his own business.
Aminur commented:
"I first heard about TreeHouse on the 10 o'clock news when the news presenter was mentioning something about Arsenal. That day, Manager Arsene Wenger was visitng TreeHouse with Gilberto Silva and Gael Clichy to launch Arsenal’s Charity Of The Season. I have now also read about TreeHouse in all of the Arsenal match day programmes and I realised that I could help. I got in contact with TreeHouse to say that I would like to donate 50p from every order we receive at the Eastern Empire.
I visited TreeHouse School on Thursday 18 October 2007. Seeing all the pupils playing happily, and seeing everyone involved with TreeHouse - the children, the teachers, the Headteacher, the fundraisers and volunteers – I knew they were doing a really great job. In my heart I felt very emotional. I knew straight away that I had made the right decision. I am proud to announce that I will be donating 50p from every order to TreeHouse and I know that with the support of my customers and staff, I will be able to help."
