TreeHouse Dream Team
At TreeHouse, we dream dreams. We believe that all children with autism should have the access to the appropriate education they need to lead fulfilled and meaningful lives. It isn’t asking very much is but it takes the commitment of people like you and me to make the dream come true.
That is why in our 10th Birthday year, we want to lay down the challenge to all of you budding runners/jumpers/bouncers/swimmers/walkers/cyclists/knitters – whatever it is that gives your life fun, meaning and buzz, get your friends, family and colleagues together to make a TreeHouse Dream Team, and you can help us to make dreams come true for children with autism and their families.
A Dream Team needs to comprise a minimum of five people who will participate together in one event with a joint target to raise a minimum of £5,000 for TreeHouse. Of course, we won’t limit you in either numbers or funds – and don’t forget, many companies will match the fundraising of their employees, so do ask!
We have lots of events you can join in with – just take a look at the Challenge Events out there – or you can talk to us about organising your own event and we can give you support and fundraising ideas. Fundraising and participating in teams is so much fun – and it can create great team building opportunities.
All Dream Teams will receive:
- A special feature on this Dream Team page
- A fundraising pack including sponsorship forms for all members of the team; ideas of how to raise money; instructions for Justgiving
- Special TreeHouse Dream Team t-shirts for each team member
- An invitation to visit TreeHouse, have a conducted tour of our pioneering school and have a celebratory event
- A bottle of champagne to celebrate the completion of your event
- A mention in the edition of TreeHouse News following your event
Take Nigel McKay here and his fantastic team of colleagues from Bovis Lend Lease - our very first Dream Team. They jumped 10,000 feet on a tandem skydive for TreeHouse on Saturday 9th June 2007. You can set up your own Dream Team take part in next year's tandem skydive event at the Hinton Airfield for the experience of a lifetime, or sign up your Dream Team for another event which will help you fulfil your own dreams as well as making dreams come true for children with autism.
