TreeHouse Parents and Carers
The involvement of TreeHouse's parents and carers is essential in helping their children make good progress. Parents are the experts about their own children. The more closely that school and home can work together, the faster the child will learn. There are many informal and formal opportunities for parents to come in to school, these include:
- Clinics: any opportunity to share learning gains and concerns and ensuring consistency across the home school settings through working in school with the child.
- Reviews: termly and annual reviews are held for us to review and agree progress and individual educational plans.
- The Parent/Teacher Association (PTA): every class has parent representatives and all parents are invited to half-termly meetings.
- Parents’ Resource Making: once a month parents can help make resources that are much appreciated by the staff.
- Parent led e-group: through which all parents can communicate if they wish. Please email the e-group owner for more information.
Full and regular information is provided to parents and carers on the child’s progress. Parents and carers are encouraged to support and reinforce this progress at home. A daily home/school book is in use for all children. Staff make home visits to discuss programmes with parents and carers and to share and agree approaches and rewards.
